Moreton Bay Says NO To Violence with Community March in RedcliffeBusiness and community participation registrations are now open for the 14thannual Moreton Bay Says NO 2 Violence (MBSN2V) community event to be held in Redcliffe on Friday 14 October, 2022.

Hundreds of Moreton Bay residents, businesses, schools, churches, and local officials are expected to attend the peaceful event which meanders along Redcliffe Parade, the waterfront, and Anzac Avenue.

Anyone participating in the march or planning to say NO to violence as a local business is encouraged to register their support and download posters and social media tiles at www.mbsn2v.com.au.

EncircleCEO,Chris Staines,said MBSN2V is the not-for-profit’s flagshipevent, bringing the community together to stamp out violence.

“This is a peaceful marchabout raising awareness and raising voices toone dayeradicatefamily and domestic violencefrom our community” he said.

“We work with vulnerable community members every dayand we want them to know we stand with them, and we stand for them.

“There is strength in numbers, and this year we encourage the whole community to join us in the strongest display yet of zero tolerance,” he said.

The march takes place six months after the Queensland Government announced in May it would implement all 89 recommendations of its Women’s Safety and Justice Taskforce including criminalising coercive control.
