Making A Change In Someone’s Life

Ways that community members can offer support to victims of domestic and family violence:

1: Always believe the person telling their story and take their concerns seriously

2: Listen without interruption or judgement

3: Support them to access specialised domestic and family violence services

Why we need to speak up against domestic and family violence:

1: On average 1 woman dies every week due to domestic and family violence

2: 1 in 6 women and 1 in 16 men have experienced physical or sexual violence by a current or former partner

3: Domestic and family violence has an impact on all people, and we all need to take a stand

Our Mission

As a collective group we are striving to create a community and ultimately a nation, where all women can live safely, free from violence and abuse. We aspire to engage the whole community to end violence against women, children, and men, to promote gender equality and create a new vision of masculinity. As a committee we uphold a sense of honesty, transparency, fairness, and high moral standards. We welcome change and embrace creativity to maximize our efforts in motivating the community. Our expectations are high, and we aim to be the best in delivering the message that Moreton Bay stands up as one and says no to violence.
